Description
This delightful silver embossed rug is woven in silk. This rug’s design was inspired by carpets from the 16th and 17th century. The extraordinary quality of the mixture of colours with exotic design stands out and yet is perfectly balanced and therefore makes the rug very easy to live with despite the busy design and mix of colours. The carpet is rectilinear in design and yet has very definite curvilinear motifs.
The central medallion is comprised of an abundant assortment of flowers placed in clever harmony with each other, and these motifs continue to radiate out form the centre to the borders. The borders themselves are truly amazing and they symbolise family unity. The quality of the work that went into this rug is second to none. The mood of the rug is very much one of optimism and abundance, spring, rebirth and immortality.
The presence of yellow every now and then in the patterns may represent the sun and the joy of life, and this also with the blue suggests the power of force, solitude and the afterlife. This carpet may be purchased with complete confidence that you are buying a truly amazing work of art and will give you and future generations many years of happiness.
