Moud is a village to the southeast of Birjand in south Kaorasan province.
Moud carpets are similar to those woven in other Khorasan cities such as Azghand, Birjand, and Gonabad. They are traded as Khorasan carpets in the Western market.
Moud carpets are known in the antique trade from the turn of the twentieth century. The designs are floral in either a medallion or allover style.
