A most unique and spell binding carpet. It is from the city of Qum and is made form silk. The centre is rosette in shape and contains an arrangement of most beautiful flowers that explode outwards. The rest of the carpet also has an amazing range of flowers and motifs. The natural style, warmth and elegance of this carpet are spellbinding.

Qom rugs (or Qum, Ghom, Ghum) are made in the Qom Province of Iran, around 100 km south of Tehran. Although rug weaving in Qom was not a major industry until the past 100 years, the luxurious silk and wool rugs of Qom are known for their high quality and are  regarded among the most expensive in the world.
The rugs from Qum ‘walk on the shoulders of giants’. Because they are relatively new arrivals to the art of carpet design and weaving, they have drawn inspiration from the best carpet weavers, and often have produced rugs superior to those from which they have drawn inspiration.
These carpets are regarded as being among the most beautiful and the most exclusive Persian carpets available. They are often knotted entirely in silk, resulting in a carpet with great lustre. The fine silk thread used makes it possible to produce incredibly detailed patterns.
